TexoFib is an industrial firm based in the Royal Commission Industrial Area, Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The company was established in 2013 as part of Al Khafra Holding Group.
TexoFib is an established manufacturer and a leader in the geosynthetics and staple fiber industries, and provides technical solutions and designs to support civil engineering projects in the local, regional and global markets. Its product range includes PP/PET staple fiber, nonwoven geotextiles (80-2000 gsm), and geo-composites.
Specifically, TexoFib specializes in manufacturing and supplying laminated geosynthetic materials, geodrain, geotextiles laminated with geogrid, geotextiles laminated with a waterproof membrane (HDPE, PVC, etc.), geosynthetic clay liners (GCL), geogrids and fiberglass geogrids.
The company manufactures products for most civil engineering applications such as road reinforcement, coastal protection, drainage for structures, environment, dewatering and landfills, erosion control, soil reinforcement, soil stabilization and pavements, and overlay pavements.
TexoFib’s geosynthetics are engineered to provide cost-effective solutions for civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The company’s products are also easy to handle, so that non-specialized workers on project sites can apply TexoFib’s products without a problem, according to Ahmed Ibrahim, who handles sales and exports for TexoFib.
TexoFib’s PP geotextile materials are engineered to effectively enhance the puncture resistance values of the waterproofing systems for horizontal and vertical applications. Meanwhile, laminated drainage composites were recently added to the company’s product portfolio to satisfy the technical applications of the waterproofing contracting industry.
TexoFib is also looking to support industries such as the carpet industry where the PP and PET felt backing layer is manufactured for carpet factories of different sizes and colors as per a customer's request.
“TexoFib products are increasingly contributing to the civilized renaissance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by supplying its qualified products to numerous strategic projects kingdom wide, in addition to the continuous efforts to capture expandable market shares in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and other international markets,” Ibrahim says.
The demand for nonwoven textile products in the industrial and medical fields is increasing, especially in the Middle East, due to the large number of diaper and medical product factories, he adds. “There is a trend towards the reconstruction of cities and the creation of new cities in the region,” he says. “For example, a country like Egypt has more than 80 factories for diapers and medical textiles, which are very large and small. The government's tendency to expand desert areas and create new cities increases the demand for geotextiles.”
